Mission and Vision Statements
|
|
Vail Christian High School partners with parents to nurture individual academic
excellence and encourage growth in Christ to serve and lead.

|
Vail Christian High School is committed to providing secondary education of the
highest possible quality. Teachers, administrators, and support staff all recognize
their obligation to carry out their vocations as followers of a Lord who requires
their best efforts. Similarly, students are expected to perform to the best of their
God-given abilities.
The mission of Vail Christian High School is an extension of the Christian home
to aid families in raising their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
We seek to establish a partnership with parents, to involve them in school activities
and decisions, and to have open communication between school and home. VCHS seeks
to “bring up a child in the way he should go” (Proverbs 22:6).
Vail Christian High School is founded upon the concept that Christian secondary
education is a desirable and necessary part of the American educational system.
We realize that worldly knowledge is of questionable importance unless an individual
develops a personal relationship with God. VCHS values and is known for honoring
Jesus Christ; we are a school that values and promotes the success of every learner.
Academic materials and co-curricular activities are offered in an atmosphere of
Christian concern. The unique individuality of each student is recognized as our
school seeks to accommodate academic differences as we encourage and nurture each
student’s development and potential.
The school endeavors to produce graduates who are living, active members in a diverse
and changing world and do all to the glory of God. At VCHS we strive to know Jesus
and to make Him known.

Vail Christian High School’s Mission Statement challenges the Board of Directors
to provide for a future of the school which provides Christian learning opportunities
that invite spiritual growth and nurture academic excellence for the individual
student. Our challenge, which is an integral part of the vision for VCHS is to provide
the resources necessary to implement the educational mission of VCHS and to ensure
that this school serves local communities, area congregations, parents and students.
